The Mission of UIMC is:

- To encourage talented young musicians to build up their career and to continue their musical growth.
- To introduce the winners to the musical world, providing them with new connections and opportunities.
- To award prizes based on overall musicianship, no matter the instrument.
- To recognize both the technical and musical aspects of a competitor’s performance. Technical ability has reached a new height; as a result, technical perfection is often the most weighted aspect of being judged a winner in today’s competitions. At UIMC, we look past technical perfection to select musicians who possess true artistry.
We believe in God and that all the musical instruments were made to praise and worship God. Music is a beautiful tool to glorify God, and we are honored to invite musicians from all over the world, from all faiths and walks of life, to participate in our competition.
1 Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
[Psalm 150]
